Voting for this category has now closed and the winner will be revealed at the LoveNUL Businesses Awards on 9th October.
The Shortlist
Divinity Studio
Divinity Studio offers a varied programme of classes designed to support both physical and mental wellbeing. Nominations praised the welcoming environment and the genuine enthusiasm Jess brings to the business.
Judges particularly recognised the studio’s continued growth, willingness to take risks and introduce new ideas and its positive engagement with the local community.
EM Beauty Clinic
EM Beauty Clinic combines skilled, professional treatments with a highly personal approach to customer care. Clients praised Ewelina’s experience, attention to detail and honest advice, with treatments clearly explained and individual needs placed ahead of sales.
Judges highlighted the trust she has built with clients, the clinic’s excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene and its calm and well presented new High Street premises.
Filtr Head Spa and Treatment Rooms
Filtr offers a distinctive head spa experience combining professional scalp and hair care with an opportunity to relax and unwind. Nominations highlighted its calming atmosphere, tailored treatments and the unhurried attention given to every client.
Judges were impressed by the originality of the offer, its strong focus on personal wellbeing and the business’s growth into two Newcastle town centre locations.
Funeral of Hearts Tattoo Studio
Funeral of Hearts has become a strong addition to Newcastle-under-Lyme’s beauty and creative offer since establishing itself in the town around two to three years ago. The studio is recognised for the quality and creativity of its work, alongside a friendly and professional approach that has helped it build a loyal following.
Judges also valued the relationships it has developed with other town-centre businesses and its positive contribution to Newcastle’s independent business community.
The Hair House
The Hair House was praised for its skilled cutting and colouring services, friendly atmosphere and genuine relationships with clients. Nominations highlighted the team’s honest advice, careful approach and ability to make customers feel comfortable and confident in the service they receive.
Judges also recognised Tom and Gabrial’s support for the self employed stylists working within the salon, its positive team culture and its involvement in the local community.
